Our Vision
We envision a welcoming, inclusive community hub where:
-
Children and youth develop confidence through sport and play
-
Families gather to celebrate, volunteer, and support one another
-
Community events create connection and pride
-
Generations come together in a safe, accessible outdoor space
Our goal is to continually enhance the park and its programs so it remains a cornerstone of Inverary life for years to come.

Overview
Inverary Youth Activities Inc. (IYAI) is a volunteer-driven, not-for-profit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of families in Inverary and surrounding communities. Through recreation, events, and shared community spaces, we provide opportunities for connection, activity, and lasting memories.
At the heart of our work is Ken Garrett Memorial Park — a vibrant gathering place that includes ball diamonds, a basketball court, playground, pavilion, green space, and accessible walkways. The park is more than a recreational facility; it is a place where neighbours meet, children grow, and community thrives.
Our Story
For more than five decades, Inverary Youth Activities Inc. has been powered by volunteers who believe in the importance of local recreation and community spirit. What began as a commitment to youth baseball has grown into a thriving park and event space serving families throughout the region.
Ken Garrett Memorial Park stands as a tribute to community dedication and generosity. Every improvement from the day the first stone was dug from the farmers field to what you see today, has been made possible through fundraising, sponsorship, grants, and countless volunteer hours in the park.
Baseball league rentals and registrations, sponsorships, annual events, including seasonal markets and community gatherings, project grants, donations from generous benefactors to help fund park improvements and ongoing maintenance, ensuring the space remains safe, beautiful, and accessible.
